Prof. Jacob Kibwage
Lead Environmental Consultant and DirectorProfessor Kibwage is professionally trained as an Environmental Planner with a bias towards Environmental and Social Safeguards in infrastructural development projects. He has over 21 years’ experience in most development and infrastructural sectors. He is registered by the Environmental Institute of Kenya and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as a Lead environmental and social consultant and has participated as one of the key consultants in over 1,500 Environmental Impact Assessments/Audits and other Consultancy/ Training jobs in Energy, Waste Management, Agricultural, Water, Industrial, Housing, Roads and Railways, Forestry, Commercial, Natural Resources Management and recreational projects since the early 1990s. He has widely consulted in the East African Region for both Private and Public Sectors.
Ms. Grace Moraa
Director Human Resources & TrainingGrace is a trained educationist from Moi University, Kenya and has a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from Maseno University. She is an Institutional Development and Training Expert with experience of over 20 years. She has worked as a Deputy Director in charge of Training at the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), a capacity building Institution of the Ministry of Education. She has also worked as a Lead and Technical Consultant to many projects, as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and as a Research Assistant in IDRC-CANADA Funded research project in Maseno University, Kenya. Currently, she is working as a Director in charge of Training and Human Resource at AWEMAC. She coordinates all the training functions in the company and liaises with relevant stakeholders on various training programs.
Ms. Caroline Mokaya
Projects Finance OfficerMs. Caroline Mokaya is a graduate from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She has also trained with AWEMAC in the Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment course and is registered as an associate Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit expert with the National Environmental Management Authority. She has over three years’ experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments & Audits and Resettlement Action Plans for various projects. Ms Caroline has previously worked with Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) Kenya, an international development organisation that works through volunteers to empower communities in developing countries through their International Community Service Programme. Caroline is currently working as a Projects Finance and Administration Officer at AWEMAC.
Ms. Harriet Jerono
Environmental Health and Safety officerMs. Harriet Jerono Kosgei is an Environmental Engineer registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya and a licensed Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Associate Expert by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Moi University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Copperbelt University. She has cross-sector experience spanning mining, water infrastructure, construction and environmental, health and safety consultancy. Harriet currently oversees health and safety operations at KEZA Riruta by Mi Vida.
Ms. Beryl Lumumba
Projects Technical AssistantMs. Beryl Lumumba is a proactive and sustainability-focused environmental professional with a strong background in Environmental Resource Conservation. She is a licensed Associate Expert on Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit by NEMA. She is passionate about advancing climate change action and promoting sustainable and responsible development.
Mr. Collins Mlamba
Projects Technical AssistantCollins M. Mlamba is a Biosystems Engineer passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability. He holds a degree in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Nairobi and is a Registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). Collins is a member of KeSEBAE, the Kenya Youth Parliament for Water, and the World Youth Parliament for Water. He has received training in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) at AWEMAC and WASH in Emergencies at Meru University of Science and Technology. He has previously worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock as a Clerk of Works under an AfDB-funded project and as an Agrotechnology intern in Israel. Collins is committed to advancing practical, sustainable solutions to environmental challenges and creating a positive impact in society.
Ms. Joan Sabii
Projects Technical AssistantMs. Joan Sabii is a dedicated Environmentalist with over five years of experience supporting infrastructure, energy, and community-based environmental programs across Kenya. She is skilled in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Resettlement Action Plans (RAP), Environmental Audits, and stakeholder engagement, with hands-on experience implementing World Bank and IFC Environmental and Social Standards. She has contributed to high-impact projects including the Madogo–Garissa–Dadaab Road (KeNHA) and multiple KETRACO transmission line projects. She is passionate about integrating sustainability, compliance, and community empowerment into development planning.
