Prof. Jacob Kibwage
Lead Environmental Consultant and DirectorProfessor Kibwage is professionally trained as an Environmental Planner with a bias towards Environmental and Social Safeguards in infrastructural development projects. He has over 21 years’ experience in most development and infrastructural sectors. He is registered by the Environmental Institute of Kenya and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as a Lead environmental and social consultant and has participated as one of the key consultants in over 1,500 Environmental Impact Assessments/Audits and other Consultancy/ Training jobs in Energy, Waste Management, Agricultural, Water, Industrial, Housing, Roads and Railways, Forestry, Commercial, Natural Resources Management and recreational projects since the early 1990s. He has widely consulted in the East African Region for both Private and Public Sectors.
Ms. Grace Moraa
Director Human Resources & TrainingGrace is a trained educationist from Moi University, Kenya and has a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from Maseno University. She is an Institutional Development and Training Expert with experience of over 20 years. She has worked as a Deputy Director in charge of Training at the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), a capacity building Institution of the Ministry of Education. She has also worked as a Lead and Technical Consultant to many projects, as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and as a Research Assistant in IDRC-CANADA Funded research project in Maseno University, Kenya. Currently, she is working as a Director in charge of Training and Human Resource at AWEMAC. She coordinates all the training functions in the company and liaises with relevant stakeholders on various training programs.
Ms. Caroline Mokaya
Projects Finance OfficerMs. Caroline Mokaya is a graduate from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She has also trained with AWEMAC in the Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment course and is registered as an associate Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit expert with the National Environmental Management Authority. She has over three years’ experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments & Audits and Resettlement Action Plans for various projects. Ms Caroline has previously worked with Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) Kenya, an international development organisation that works through volunteers to empower communities in developing countries through their International Community Service Programme. Caroline is currently working as a Projects Finance and Administration Officer at AWEMAC.
Ms. Rachael Maithya
Environmental Health and Safety officerMs. Rachael Maithya is a graduate in Environmental Conservation and Natural Resource Management and I currently pursuing her Masters in Environmental Planning and Management at Kenyatta University. She is a NEMA registered Associate Expert and has over 5 years experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing and Environmental Monitoring and Evaluation and processing of environmental permits. She has worked as the Environment Health and Safety Officer for the BRITAM Towers, UHC tower and Pinnacle project in Upperhill and Sanlam Tower in Westlands. She’s currently the Environment, Health, and Safety Officer at AVIC International Real Estate -GTC Project in Westlands Nairobi. She is also Professionally trained in Occupational Health and Safety and EHS Project Management.
Mr. Caleb Omari
EHS Awareness OFFICERMr. Caleb Omari is a NEMA registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit Associate Expert (REG NO 9014). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management of Agroecosystems and Environment from University of Nairobi, and certificates in Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit, Fire Safety, First Aid and EHS committee Training. He has more than Four years’ practical skills in Environmental Impact Assessments / Audits of various projects and has vast experiences in Environmental Health and Safety Support Services. Mr. Omari has been an Environmental Health & Safety Officer at The Ridge Mixed Development project by Cytonn Investment, EHS at Expansion of Sarit Centre Phase 3B. He has in the past worked at The Kenya Ports Authority with Aurecon group as a field assistant for the ports waste management master plan. Mr Omari is currently working as a Health and Safety Awareness Consultant at Kisii- IsIbania Road Project and he has the passion for enhancing environmental conservation through sustainable developments and projects.
Ms. Carolyne Sankok
Environmental Health and Safety officerMs. Carolyne Sankok is a determined, goal oriented Environmental, Health and Safety practitioner with a wealth of field work experience. She is a licensed Associate Expert on Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit by NEMA. She is currently undertaking an International General Certificate in Occupational Health and safety. She has worked as an EHS officer at Qwetu homes in Chiromo. Ms. Sankok is currently working as an Environmental Health and Safety officer at Vipingo Industrial Park Development.
Ms. Ruth Katumo
Projects Technical AssistantMs. Ruth Katumo is a graduate from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Resource Planning and Management. She has also trained professionally in Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit with AWEMAC and is competent in urban planning development control processes, with intermediate knowledge in carrying out change of user and extension of user briefs.
Ms. Candy Loyanae
EHS Officer-Site RepresentativeMs. Candy Loyanae holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom (UK). After completing her Master’s degree, she joined Tullow Oil as a Field Environmental Monitor and began her journey in environmental and social performance monitoring and reporting. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration and a PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management. She is a NEMA registered Associate Expert. Since joining AWEMAC, as an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer-Site Representative, she has provided EHS Consultancy for the Interior Fit-Out Works at the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (TDB) Project located along Lenana Road in Kilimani, Nairobi County She is currently working as the EHS Officer-Site Representative for Mi Vida Homes Keza Apartments project in Riruta, Nairobi County.
