MERCY CHESANG

Mercy holds a Bachelor of Technology (Environmental Resource Management) from the Technical University of Kenya.  Mercy has trained in Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit with AWEMAC and has three years of experience in the non- profit sector. Previously, Mercy worked with the Institute of Primate Research (IPR), on conservation of forest resources in Oloolua Forest, Kenya, under the USAID supported programs.Mercy is a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) fellow, a flagship program launched by the former U.S president Barrack Obama to train and empower the next generation of leaders. Through these experiences, Mercy has developed strong capacity building, planning and report writing skills and great interest in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
