MS. CAROLINE MOKAYA


Ms. Caroline Mokaya is a graduate from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She has also trained with AWEMAC in the Intergrated Environmental Impact Assessment course as well as registered as an associate Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit expert with the National Environmental Management Authority. Caroline has worked with AWEMAC as an Office/Projects assistant Intern for 5 months. Currently, she is working as a Finance and AdministrationOfficer at AWEMAC.

Ms. Mercy Chesang

Mercy holds a Bachelor of Technology (Environmental Resource Management) from the Technical University of Kenya.  Mercy has trained in Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit with AWEMAC and has three years of experience in the non- profit sector. As a volunteer at Greenpeace Africa, she helps improve environmental advocacy and community outreach activities in rural and urban Kenya. Previously, Mercy worked with the Institute of Primate Research (IPR), on conservation of forest resources in Oloolua forest, Kenya, under the USAID supported programs. She has also worked as a brand ambassador for East Africa Wildlife Society (EAWLS) and as a Research Assistant at the Technical University of Kenya on a UN-Habitat study for the decommissioning of the Ngong Dumpsite. Mercy is a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) fellow, a flagship program launched by the former U.S president Barrack Obama to train and empower the next generation of leaders. Through these experiences, Mercy has developed strong capacity building, planning and report writing skills and great interest in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
