PROF. JACOB KIBWAGE
Professor Kibwage is professionally trained as an Environmental Planner with a bias towards Environmental and Social Safeguards in infrastructural development projects. He has over 21 years’ experience in most development and infrastructural sectors. He is registered by Environmental Institute of Kenya and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as a Lead environmental and social consultant and has participated as one of the key consultants in over 1,500 Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit and other consultancy/ Training jobs in the energy, waste management, agricultural, water, industrial, housing, roads and railways, forestry, commercial, Natural Resources Management and recreational projects since early 1990s. He has widely consulted in the East African Region for both Private and Public Sectors.

MS. GRACE MORAA
Grace is a trained educationist from Moi University, Kenya and has a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from Maseno University. She is an Institutional Development and Training Expert with experience of over 20 years. She has worked as a Deputy Director in charge of Training at the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), a capacity building Institution of the Ministry of Education. She has also worked as a Lead and Technical Consultant to many projects, as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and as a Research Assistant in IDRC-CANADA Funded research project in Maseno University, Kenya. Currently, she is working as a Director in charge of Training and Human Resource at AWEMAC. She coordinates all the training functions in the company and liaises with relevant stakeholders on various training programs.
MS. EVA MUKIRI KABURU
Ms. Eva Mukiri Kaburu: is a graduate of South Eastern Kenya University (BSc. Environmental Management). She is open minded and is steadfast in building vast experience in Environmental Consultancy. Having trained with AWEMAC in the Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit, she is a registered NEMA Associate Expert as well as a member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK). She is passionate about Occupational Safety and Health matters and as such she has successfully completed NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health. She began and has natured her career with AWEMAC and currently she is the company’s Office/Projects Manager.-

MR. ANDREW KARANJA
Andrew Karanja is a well experienced environmental management and sustainability specialist with eight (8) years professional experience in, environmental management (Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing), environmental & social safeguards policies, climate change – mitigation & adaptation, health & safety and sustainable tourism. He has completed several environmental and sustainable tourism consultancy assignments for various clients straddling from both the public and private sector.
Andrew holds a MSc. in Environmental Management from South Eastern Kenya University and a BSc. in Environmental Studies (Community Development) from Kenyatta University. He is an alumnus of Advanced International Training Programme on Climate Change – Mitigation and Adaptation from Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute
Professionally, Andrew is registered and licensed as a NEMA Lead Expert; approved Travelife Lead auditor for tourism accommodation & tour operators. He is also a NITA recognized trainer well versed in facilitation skills for both middle and top management. Andrew is currently a Senior Environmental and Social Consultant at AWEMAC. Previously, he served as a Program Officer with Ecotourism Kenya and as an Environmental Consultant with Millennium Management Consultants (MMC-Africa). He has participated in feasibility studies and completed various successful projects including infrastructure (roads, railway, power transmission), waste management, power plants, housing & commercial developments, resource conservation, and sustainable tourism.

MR. BOAZ BETT
Mr. Boaz Bett holds Master of Science degree in Water Science and Engineering, specializing in Land and Water Development from IHE-Delft, Netherlands and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Bio systems Engineering from University of Nairobi. Mr. Bett is a registered lead Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit expert with NEMA and Environmental Institute of Kenya. He has also undergone post-graduate training in occupational safety and health from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Mr. Bett has over seven (7) years of experience working in engineering and environmental consultancy field where he has been actively involved in among others: offering environment, health and safety advisory services to infrastructural projects, development of resettlement action plans, environmental and social impact assessments, project management and resource surveys using GIS and remote sensing. Some of the clients he has worked with include but not limited to Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO), Water Sector Trust Fund (WSTF), National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA), Water Resources Authority (WRA) among others. Mr. Bett is currently the EHS administrator for Nairobi-Naivasha Standard Guage Railway Project alongside Naivasha ICD project.

MR. ROGERS MUTUA
Mr. Rogers Mutua is an Environmental Management graduate from South Eastern Kenya University and a registered associate Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit expert with the National Environmental Management Authority. Rogers has worked with AWEMAC as the Environment, Health and Safety Officer for the Standard Gauge Railway project for section 4 (Mtito Andei – Emali) and Section 7(Emali Sleeper factory). Currently, he is an Environmental Health and Safety officer at AWEMAC based at Avic International for the ongoing construction of the firms’ Africa Headquarters. He is also a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) cohort 13 Alumni and a member of the Kenyan YALI Alumni Chapter.

MS. RACHAEL MAITHYA
Ms. Rachael Maithya is a graduate in Environmental Conservation and Natural Resource Management and I currently pursuing her Masters in Environmental Planning and Management at Kenyatta University. She is a NEMA registered Associate Expert and has over 5 years experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing and Environmental Monitoring and Evaluation and processing of environmental permits. She has worked as the Environment Health and Safety Officer for the BRITAM Towers, UHC tower and Pinnacle project in Upperhill and Sanlam Tower in Westlands. She’s currently the EHS Officer at AVIC International Real Estate -GTC Project in Westlands Nairobi. She is also Professionally trained in Occupational Health and Safety and EHS Project Management.
Mr. Daniel Sila
Daniel Sila is an experienced Environmental Social Health and Safety practitioner with six years’ professional experience in handling Environmental, Social Health and Safety issues in large infrastructure projects and is a NEMA registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit Associate Expert (REG NO 9649). He is a certified Fall Arrest expert registered by the Institute for Work at Heights (Registration No. DM81172/18).
Daniel holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Pwani University. He is currently working as an Environmental Health and Safety officer at AWEMAC based at the ongoing Construction of Trade & Development Bank HQ Project. As an EHS consultant to the project, his current assignment’s core role is to ensure that workers’ health, safety and the environment are safeguarded through proactive anticipation, prevention, recognition, evaluation, control and mitigation of environmental, health and safety hazards and associated risks.
Previously, he served as the Environment, Social Health and Safety Officer with SBI International Holdings (AG) Kenya, where he was involved in three (3) World Bank funded Road Construction Projects: Kericho – Nyamasaria Road (A1/B1), Dualling of Kisumu Boys Roundabout – Mamboleo Junction Road(JNA1/C34)& Kisumu International Airport-Kisiani Road

MR. CALEB OMARI
Mr. Caleb Omari is a NEMA registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit Associate Expert (REG NO 9014). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Agroecosystems and Environment from University of Naorobi, and certificates Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit, Fire Safety, First Aid and EHS committee Training. He has two years’ practical skills in Environmental Impact Assessments / Audits of various projects and also has vast experiences in Environmental Health and Safety Support Services. Mr. Omari has been an Environmental Health & Safety Officer at The Ridge Mixed Development project by Cytton Investment, EHS at Expansion of Sarit Centre Phase 3B and is currently working as a Health and Safety Awareness Consultant at Kisii- Isebania Road Project. He has in the past worked at The Kenya Ports Authority with Aurecon group as a field assistant for the ports waste management master plan. Has a passion for enhancing environmental conservation through sustainable developments and projects.
