PROF. JACOB KIBWAGE
Professor Kibwage is professionally trained as an Environmental Planner with a bias towards Environmental Impact Assessment and Audits. He has over 21 years’ experience in ESIA and audit works for all development and infrastructural sectors. He is registered by Environmental Institute of Kenya and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as a Lead environmental and social consultant and has participated as one of the key consultants in over 1,250 Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit and other consultancy/ Training jobs in the energy, waste management, agricultural, water, industrial, housing, roads and railways, forestry, commercial, Natural Resources Management and recreational projects since early 1990s. He has widely consulted in the East African Region for both Private and Public Sectors.

MS. GRACE MORAA
Grace Moraa is a trained educationist from Moi University and has a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management. She is an institutional development and training expert with experience of over 20 years. She is a NEMA licensed lead expert . Grace has worked as a Deputy Director in charge of Training at Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), a capacity building Institution of the Ministry of Education. She has also worked as a Lead consultant on Social Economics and Community Participation, as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and as a Research Assistant in IDRC-CANADA Funded research project in Maseno University. Currently, she is working as a Director in charge of Environmental Training at AWEMAC. She is a recognized NITA Lead Trainer for AWEMAC. She coordinates all the training functions in the company and liaises with relevant stakeholders on various training programs.
MS. EVA MUKIRI KABURU
Ms. Eva Mukiri Kaburu is a graduate of South Eastern Kenya University trained in Environmental Management. She is has also trained with AWEMAC in the Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit and is awaiting registration as a NEMA Associate Expert. She is interested in pursuing Occupational Health and Safety in the near future. Currently she is the Office/Projects Manager at AWEMAC.

MS ABIDA BUORO
Ms. Abida Buoro is an Environmental Biologist with scientific expertise and in-depth knowledge of permitting and compliance protocols to achieve technically sound and cost effective solutions for a full spectrum of Environmental projects. She is the Manager and resident Environmental Biologist at AWEMAC where she plays a central role in the day to day running of the company and has undertaken and managed numerous projects ranging from ESIAs, SEAs RAPs and Environmental Training Courses. She has also been seconded by AWEMAC as an Environmental Health and Safety officer for various landmark projects and has been with the company from the year 2011. She is also an AWEMAC NITA recognized trainer and is registered with NEMA as an associate expert. She is an ardent reader and writes an environmental blog: environmentalhubkenya.blogspot.com, whose goal is to improve the understanding of Kenyans with regard to local environmental laws policies and concerns

MR. DOMINIC M. MUNYAO
Dominic Munyao is a NEMA registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit Expert, as well as NITA approved trainer in various environmental and social impact courses. Currently finalizing his Master of Science in Environmental Planning and Management and holder of Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies (First Class Honours). He has been working at AWEMAC as an Associate Environmental Consultant from 2007 to date. He has previously worked in NGO sector (Foundation for Education in Development). Currently seconded by AWEMAC as a Safety Health and Environment Officer at China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) since April 2012 to date. He has been involved in various projects such as Nairobi Eastern and Northern Bypasses Project (June 2009-June 2012), and construction of Eastern and Northern Bypasses (Mombasa Road/City Cabanas Interchange and Complimentary Works (June 2013-June 2014) as part of continuous improvement and assisting with development & implementation of the Environmental Management Systems. He has wide experience in undertaking EIA/EA in various projects in commercial developments and housing development; energy and water sector, infrastructure development, telecommunication and hospital projects from 2007 to date (over 200 EIA/EA/RAP/EHS consultancy projects). He is currently an Environmental, Health and Safety Officer for the Standard Gauge Railway Project for Section 5, 8 and 9
MR GEAROID KIETI
Mr. Gearoid Kieti is a NEMA registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit Expert. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Kenyatta University, and certificates in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit. He is currently enrolled for a Masters program in Environmental Planning and Management and a CPA Finalist. He has over three years’ practical skills in Environmental Impact Assessments / Audits of various projects and also has vast experiences in Environmental Health and Safety Support Services (e.g. Nairobi Southern Bypass Road Project, Sarit Centre Phase III Expansion Project), Resettlement Action Planning (RAP) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) among other environmental consultancy services. Mr. Gearoid is currently an Environmental Health & Safety Officer in Sections 3 & 6 for the Standard Gauge Railway. He has in the past worked at Equity Bank (K) Ltd as a Relationship Officer- Operations and Kenya Airports Authority as an Environmental Officer- Intern. Has a passion for enhancing environmental conservation through sustainable developments and projects.
MR. DAVIS KILONZO
Mr. Davis Kilonzo is currently undertaking his Masters degree in Environmental Planning and Management. He has also attained a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Kenyatta University, a certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit from Africa Nazerene University. He is registered as a NEMA Associate Expert and is currently the Environmental Health and Safety Officer (EHS) for the Standard Gage Railway project China Roads and Bridges Corporation Kenya Section 1 (Mombasa to Taru) & Section 2 (Taru to Maneaters). He has four years’ practical skills in Environmental Impact Assessment/ Audits, Waste Management, and Environmental Health and Safety Support Services. Mr. Kilonzo has in the past worked at the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), World Vision, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) as a research assistant intern and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) among others.
MR. ROGERS MUTUA
Mr. Rogers Mutua is an Environmental Management graduate from South Eastern Kenya University and a registered associate Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit expert with the National Environmental Management Authority. Rogers currently works with AWEMAC as the Environment, Health and Safety Officer for the Standard Gauge Railway project for section 4 (Mtito Andei – Emali) and Section 7(Emali Sleeper factory). He is also a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) cohort 13 Alumni and a member of the Kenyan YALI Alumni Chapter.

MR. JOHN OIRERE
Mr. John Oirere is an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer with a background training in Water and Environment Engineering. He possesses vast knowledge and skills in Environment, Water and Sanitation fields which AWEMAC is actively involved in. He has 3 years’ experience in Water and Environmental Consultancy. At AWEMAC, he majorly undertakes Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Audits of various projects in Kenya including Rail Infrastructure Projects, Building Construction projects, Dam and Irrigation Development Projects, Bamboo Propagation Projects, Hydropower Projects among many others. Currently, he is working as an Environment, Health and Safety Advisor, offering advisory services for the ongoing construction of the AVIC International Africa Headquarters in Westlands, Nairobi County. Mr. John Oirere has in the past worked at Batch Associates Consulting Engineers Ltd as an Assistant Engineer where he gained AUTOCAD Drafting skills and Topographical Surveying and analysis skills. Ms. Rachael Maithya is a graduate of South Eastern Kenya University. She is trained in environmental management with bias towards environmental conservation and natural resource management. She is also a NEMA registered Associate Expert and has been involved in various Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Audits. Currently she is an Environmental Health and Safety officer at AWEMAC based at Avic International for the ongoing construction of the firms’ Africa Headquarters.She also offers Environmental Health and Safety Services to Sanlam Life Assurance.

MS. MAUREEN MORAA MOGENI
Ms. Mogeni is well-versed in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) with over 5 years’ experience in works of engineering construction in the energy sector, roads networks and high rise building operations. She is a NEMA registered Environmental Impact Assessment/Audit Expert and a certified Monitoring and Evaluation Professional with academic qualifications in Environmental Studies and Occupational Health and Safety. Ms. Mogeni is working with AWEMAC as the EHS officer for the proposed mixed used development “Hass Towers” in Upper Hill- Nairobi County, envisaged to be one of the most iconic buildings in Africa. She worked as an EHS advisor for Instalaciones Inabensa S.A for the 400kV Lessos-Tororo Transmission Line and Iberdrola Engineering and Construction for construction of 220/66 kV substations around the Nairobi Metropolitan Area
